Waves of Faith – Love Selflessly

Hello and welcome to Waves of Faith. Caregiving requires us to love selflessly, not expecting anything in return. In Luke we read that Jesus taught that, when the rich give banquets, they should not give to their friends and rich neighbors who can pay them back but instead to the needy and poor who cannot repay. He also said, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends”.

Caregiving requires this kind of  “great” love. Mercy, compassion, and selfless love are not easy—in fact, Romans 3 tells us they are impossible to do with a completely righteous attitude. But God is faithful to provide strength, joy, and cheer when we ask Him.  With His strength caregiving is more than possible and can be a satisfying act of love.
