Monday Mojo for Caregivers – Things to Let Go of to Be Happier
Hello and welcome to Monday Mojo for Caregivers. It’s common knowledge that positive thinking can lead to a happier life. While that may sound great – you’re probably wondering how you can start thinking more positively. Here are a few things you can let go of to live a happier life.
- Let go of grudges
When you hold on to old grudge, you end up holding onto negative energy. Try releasing that negative energy so you have the freedom to move forward and create a happier life for yourself.
- Let go of comparisons
You know that saying, “the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.” Realize that everyone goes through struggles and obstacles in life. Nobody is perfect or has a perfect life. Stop comparing your life to those who seem to be doing better than you. We are all just trying to figure out this thing called life.
- Let go of impossible standards
Nobody expects you to be superhuman! Stop living your life with impossible standards. You do a great job caring for your loved one but realize you can’t always be the perfect caregiver. There will be good days and bad ones. The bad days are not your fault and you can let go of consistently trying to be perfect.
