Monday Mojo for Caregivers – Looking Forward to the New Year
Hello and welcome to Monday Mojo for Caregivers. A New Year always seems like a big turning point. It gives you a fresh start and new opportunities. Unfortunately, many of us busy caregivers tend to rush into the New Year without a thought. Before the New Year arrives, take time to reflect on 2017. What worked for you? What didn’t? What did you enjoy the most? What can you live without anymore? These are all good questions to ask yourself in order to reflect and to create a better year for yourself in 2018.
We all want to grow, learn and eventually become the best version of ourselves. To do this we need to constantly expand our horizons, keep an open mind and gracefully overcome the obstacles that pop up along the way. So, learn something new and keep learning. You’re never too old to learn something new. Have a good attitude and you’ll be surprised at how you can expand your knowledge and become more helpful to your loved one. Keep up with the changing times.
Plan and set goals! Focus on the big picture. Put together your priorities and outline the major steps you need to take to accomplish those goals.
Use this New Year as a reminder that YOU are important too. Make your own health a priority and take regular breaks to reduce stress and improve well-being.
