Hello caregivers. My name’s Pastor Joe Trapani from the Fervent Prayer Ministry and I’m here with more words from God. Our passage today is first John, chapter 3, verse 16 and 18. By this we know love because Jesus lay down his life for us and we are also told to lay down our lives for the brethren. My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue but in deed and in truth.
Caregivers, that’s what you’re doing. You’re showing love to those that you care for. You’re giving, you’re doing, you’re not just saying, you’re putting feet to your words. So don’t get discouraged and don’t let fear enter in. Try to keep a positive attitude; it’s very important for those you’re caring for. See, the scriptures tell us that God is the God that sees and we need to keep that focus in our lives. Jesus told us that when we care for those around us, we are doing it as unto the Lord himself so don’t lose focus. You’re working for God; you are acting as His hands and His feet. But Jesus told us that there is a point above and beyond that. The very work of God according to John, chapter 6, verse 9, is believing in Jesus, the messiah himself. So keep believing. Keep your eyes on Him. Keep your love fresh for those that you are caring for. See, love can be like the wind, you can’t see it but you can feel it. But sometimes the wind is slow and it’s hard to feel. But know one thing; it’s at times like these that you need help from the Lord himself, so call upon Him at that time. He’s a huge part of what you’re doing.
Caregivers, the Lord can meet you at your need. You may not know what to do but keep your eyes on the Lord and don’t lose focus. He is all you need.
